Answers to the questions we get most.
The basics
What is this?
A mock admissions committee. You fill in an application shaped like the Common App, specialist AI readers each read one part of it, and a chair weighs their notes and returns a decision with reader ratings modelled on that school.
Is the result my real decision?
No. It is an informed estimate of how a file like yours tends to be read. Real committees see things we don't, such as your actual letters, and their decisions depend on the rest of the pool.
Which schools are covered?
A variety of schools, and more are being added. Search for yours:
Why don't I get a percentage?
Because nobody can honestly give you one. A number like 38% looks precise and isn't. You get the decision our mock committee reaches and the reasons for it.
Your application
Do I have to add my essays?
No. Without them, readers assume your essays are typical for a file like yours, which is neutral. If yours are stronger than that, add them.
Do I need to upload a transcript?
No. If you do, the academic readers use it for course-by-course rigor. Without one, courses you don't list as AP or IB are read as standard level.
Can I apply to more than one school?
Yes. Your profile is shared, like the Common App. Switching school keeps it and swaps in that school's round, majors and supplements. Each school has its own saved draft.
Are my letters of recommendation read?
No, we never see them. Readers assume your letters are positive and judge what each recommender is in a position to confirm.
Runs and reports
How long does a run take?
Usually about a minute. Reader notes appear live while it runs.
My run stopped or shows an error.
Open it from History and choose Run again. Your draft is saved, so nothing is lost. If it keeps failing, email us with the school and roughly when you ran it.
Where are my past reports?
Under History in the portal. You can leave or reload during a run and come back to it there.
Why did two runs of the same file differ?
The readers are language models, so wording and close calls can vary between runs. A file near a boundary can land on either side of it.
Privacy and price
Who sees my application?
You, and the AI models that read it (the companies that run them are listed on the Subprocessors page). It is never sold, never used for ads and never sent to a college. It travels over encrypted connections and is encrypted at rest, and you can delete a run or your whole account whenever you want.
What does it cost?
You pay per run, priced by the length of your application plus a small cloud fee. There is no subscription, and you see the whole bill before anything is charged. Paying by card adds a processing fee; credits avoid it on each run.
