Accessibility

Everyone applying to college should be able to use this.

What we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. The site has not had a formal outside audit, so there will be gaps.

Where it stands today

  • WorksLinks, buttons and form fields are native controls, so they work from the keyboard, and the focused one is outlined.
  • WorksText is dark on light with high contrast, and pages reflow on a phone.
  • WorksAnimation switches off when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Known gapThe live feed during a run updates often, which can be noisy with a screen reader. The finished report has the same content.
  • Known gapUploaded transcripts are read by a model, and a poor scan may be read badly. You can correct the extracted text.
